Coffee breaks will be provided to attendees of the workshops on Sunday, March 20. Later that day, our opening reception is where you want to be to catch up with old friends and to make new acquaintances. We will provide a complimentary beverage ticket and hors d'oeuvres. Additional beverages available for cash purchase.
On Monday, March 21, HFES offers coffee breaks and a full buffet luncheon for all attendees. Be sure to join us at the poster reception from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. Light appetizers and cash bar.
Coffee breaks are scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 and attendees are invited to explore the local dining scene for lunch to get a taste of New Orleans. Join us later this evening for an event at a local establishment for great music and networking. This event will benefit the Roots of Music Foundation. The Roots of Music empowers the youth of New Orleans through music education, academic support, and mentorship while preserving and promoting the unique musical and cultural heritage of New Orleans. Their goal is to provide youth with the resources they need to lead positive, productive, self-reliant lives. Suggested donation is $20. No fee for student member attendees of the symposium. Bring your friends and family! Event takes place at d.b.a LIVE, at 618 Frenchman Street in New Orleans. Read about the musicians here. This venue is known for their premium selection of fine whiskeys and beer and for outstanding acoustics. Transportation on own.
The symposium ends on Wednesday, March 23 and as it is a half-day, we will offer coffee breaks and some grab-and-go snacks for you as you head out to the airport or to your next stop in the crescent city.
